Privacy Policy

This statement explains how Musiciapp handles personal data under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

What we collect

Account & profile (name, phone, email, photo, username, role); booking details; payment tokens and card metadata held by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers); provider verification documents (providers only); device push tokens; app language; usage and diagnostic data; and analytics data — app and website usage events together with a Google Analytics / Google Analytics for Firebase identifier and general device and approximate-region information.

Why we use it

To create and secure your account; to take, confirm and manage bookings; to process payments, refunds and provider payouts; to verify identity and prevent fraud; to provide support; to send service notifications; and to comply with law.

Who we share it with

The other party to a booking (the Member and the Musician/Venue, as needed to fulfil it); our payment processor (Airwallex); our analytics provider (Google, for Google Analytics and Google Analytics for Firebase); SMS, hosting and cloud service providers acting for us; and authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

Cross-border transfer

Some of our processors operate outside Hong Kong, including Airwallex (payment processing), Cloudflare (cloud and edge hosting and automated content screening), Supabase (database hosting, in the United States) and Google (analytics, and push notifications on Android). We take steps, including contractual measures with our processors, to keep your data protected, and we remain responsible for the data they handle for us.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. When you delete your account it enters a 30-day grace period and is then removed, except records we must keep (e.g. transaction/accounting records).

Security

We use access controls and technical measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal data, and you may delete your account in-app. Contact us using the details below.

Direct marketing

We will only use your data to send you promotional messages if you have opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time, free of charge, in the app or via the contact below.

Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics and Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google) to understand how our app and website are used so we can fix problems and improve features. This collects usage events, an analytics/app-instance identifier and general device and approximate-region information; it is not used to identify you personally, and we do not sell it. Our website also uses cookies and similar tools for essential functionality and analytics, which you can control through your browser settings.
